Your 15-day Sri Lanka and Maldives adventure begins in Colombo, the largest city and capital of Sri Lanka. From here, you will embark on a captivating and cultural journey into the country's past by visiting five of its six cultural UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Begin in the town of Dambulla and explore the country's most well-preserved cave temple complex with 157 statues and ancient Buddhist murals dating back to the 1st century BC. Continue to the 11th-century ruins of the Royal Palace of King Parakramabahu I and the iconic Gal Vihara sculptures at the ancient city of Polonnaruwa before travelling to the Sigiriya rock fortress. Enter the ancient monument through the mouth of a giant lion and enjoy the view from nearly 200 metres above the plains of north-central Sri Lanka.

Journey to the city of Kandy and visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, where the tooth of Gautama Buddha is enshrined. Spend a day exploring the quaint hillside village of Ella on one of the many leisurely treks through local plantations, temples, and waterfalls or take a short walk through the jungle to the Nine Arches Bridge to see one of the most iconic pieces of 20th-century colonial architecture. Embark on an afternoon safari through Yala National Park once you arrive in Tissamaharama and spend the next three days travelling to the city of Galle and the small town Bentota before beginning your Maldives adventure.

Spend the final four days of your trip at leisure in the luxurious Maldives with full access to the amenities at your private island resort. Discover the Maldives' natural beauty and wildlife with activities like snorkelling along coral reefs, sunset cruises, and night fishing excursions. Your time is entirely at leisure to enjoy this paradise in the Indian Ocean.

Colombo Colombo Sri Jayawardhanapura Kotte is the capital of Sri Lanka, with the newly built parliament situated in picturesque surroundings, while Colombo is the main commercial capital city, where almost all the business transactions take place.
